FPS set in an apocalyptic future where humanity has succumbed to a terrible infection transforming most hungry zombies.

By Pablo Conde Ferrer

Dead Trigger comes as yet another first-person shooter where you have to survive a zombie apocalypse destroying everything undead that gets in our way.

The script and story development have remained in the background, promoting more direct action without any pretensions; We kill many zombies ... and nothing else. The classic argument-as predictably as we are told through extensive dialogues totally stereotypical characters. Their recommendations are as obvious as the need for more ammunition. So much so that eventually we ignore these texts and go directly to the next level, without caring in the least what we say our fellow survivors. Missions ranging from eliminating hordes of zombies to protect a certain goal.

Sometimes we take objects from one place to another stage; sometimes we protect inputs shelters or some innocent survivors. Depending on our task to complete, we will have to decide whether to retain ammunition or kill all the zombies at the same level. We may run headshots to save bullets, although it will not be easy, since the touch controls are somewhat peculiar. Yes, perhaps work well thanks to the simple interface of the game-but sometimes not respond with precision and agility demanded many situations where zombies surround us without much we can do. We will move through a virtual joystick on the bottom left of the screen and aim by moving your finger on the opposite corner.

Only we have to be aware of two buttons, the shooting and reloading; This helps to simplify a somewhat imprecise control in some moments. Of course, we can always modify the sensitivity of the touch control and reverse axes. Weapons are the main protagonists of Dead Trigger; We can get them in two different ways: with virtual money that we get in the missions or real money through micro-transactions mentioned. Get new weapons it becomes imperative to advance in the adventure. However, players who want to advance the story and spend a few hours the game must purchase at least one enhancement package; those who play very occasionally may move forward fairly normally. Only it depends on our patience and the desire we have of zombie blood.

Of course, there are many ways in which to invest, whether real or virtual money, as improvements in our abilities, strength and health, and to acquire more space for items and weapons.

Dead Trigger 2: Wear your armor and take down those ugly species!

By Elizabeth Tweetee

On Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Even though my phone does have a number of games installed on it, Dead Trigger 2 is the most played one. Because this Madfinger marvel is a perfect blend of eye popping visuals, realistic physics, fun packed missions and convenient touch control scheme.

Without describing the game anymore, I shall express my actual experience with Dead Trigger 2. As we expect, visuals are really pleasing even on very low-end devices. Sound is pretty average, but still enjoyable. There are no touch screen control bugs which usually kill the experience of Smartphone FPS games. Going online too had no trouble at all. In short, I’m fine with the game in every aspect.

I was in search of console quality games these days and finally landed on this one. Dead Trigger 2 experience cannot be expressed with words. You have to play it. I would surely recommend this game to all my friends. It is such a nice one!

Pros

  • Great graphics even on cheap phones
  • Great missions for great fun
  • Multi player is really awesome

Cons

  • Sound could have been better

Dead Trigger 2, developed and distributed by Madfinger Games for iOS and Android devices, is the sequel to the horror first person shooter Dead Trigger in which we will again survive a brutal zombie infection.

Again, we are in the middle of a worldwide zombie infection where a few survivors try to survive under the impassive threat of hungry undead. So, we will participate in yet another adventure set in such a hackneyed theme, resulting unoriginal in this regard; as we move forward in its development along different US cities, we will be meeting a group of survivors that will help us resist in the streets and visit the buildings, trying to meet different objectives that will provide variety to the action.

Each character provides different advantages have plenty to do with the character free-to-play game; and, as in many other titles of similar cut, we can invest real money in various accelerate progress.

Madfinger Games has introduced a new level in this sequel interface, simplifying the experience but achieving better results in terms of fun and convenience.

Review

Dead Trigger 2 is a popular zombie hunting franchise for iOS and Android, developed by Madfinger Games. Its first installment called Dead Trigger was an instant hit, with stunning graphics and hair-raising gameplay. However, its fun-factor was defiled by the omnipresent in-app purchase resources that many people cracked, chiefly because the game was not free. The game came free in course of time for muting most complaints.

Ever increasing popularity of the first edition forced the developer to kick it up a notch, and thus Dead Trigger 2 was born. It came with a hand full of improvements in every aspect of the predecessor. As learnt from the bitter experience, it was made free from the very beginning. Continue reading to see how good it is!

Gameplay

Dead Trigger 2 is a first person (FP) horror game, which follows the same isolation and survival theory used by its predecessor. Objective of both games are also same - wiping out the blood-thirsty zombies wandering at different locations. But in this new edition, you won’t have to play random missions from the map as you will be directed progressively from place to place by the storyline. Still, there are optional missions on the map, which can be played for extra bucks (in-game cash).

Dead Trigger 2 possesses a number of improvements from its predecessor. It offers extended playing area, whole new gameplay styles like shooting zombies from moving vehicle or flying helicopter, non-traditional weapons such as chicken bomb (blowing up zombies using bomb strapped chickens) and wrench (useful when you run out of ammos) and lot more other improvements. Graphics quality has turned console quality.

Multiverse experience as in MMORPG games is a quite exaggerated claim by the developer, as you are the only one fighting against zombies. The game lacks a traditional multiplayer option also. Anyway, the developer has faded out these oddities simply by introducing a lobby thing in this new game. The lobby includes your personal medic who supplies medical aid, a gunsmith who takes care of your weapons, an engineer who develops chicken bombs, grenades, mines and other such gadgets, and finally a tech guy who is able to upgrade the skills of others in lobby.

Madfinger has replaced the traditional booster and power-up buying store with a smuggler character. His role is to supply you goods such as damage booster, health booster, money booster etc. in return to gold. This addition is not only helpful in providing social experience to the game, but also wipes out the frustration due to absence of cheats.

First installment of Dead Trigger was accused of having boringly repetitive gameplay locations, and therefore the developer included a bunch of whole new areas in this installment. Unlike previous game, here mini-bosses appear after gunning a threshold number of zombies down or completing a particular objective, which reduces boredom due to repetition. Bloodshed became more realistic too. Another cool feature is the auto-fire mode, which automatically fires when gunpoint is positioned near a zombie. It makes touch screen controls more intuitive. Sometimes, it creates frustration as it encounter ammo wastage.

Graphics and Audio

At their respective release times, both versions of Dead Trigger were listed in the chart of top-10 console-quality Smartphone games, by almost every leading gaming website. That is, the game is absolutely impressive. When you play this game, you will understand that we have not exaggerated anything about the game. DT2 exactly looks like a PC game.

Android version of DT2 has got two graphics quality options namely low and high. If your device sports a monstrous powerhouse under the hood, try out the high setting. Test of this setting conducted on NVDIA Tegra really blown us away. Environments had more details and shadows are better rendered. Reflections look very realistic. If yours is an entry level phone which lags in high setting, switch to low. Only some atmospheric effects and distance draw will be compromised by doing so, and the graphics will still look stunning. There are no visual settings available on iOS version, as Apple provides top notch hardware always.

It seems like Madfinger haven’t tweaked the audio much. Zombie screeches are the same on previous version. You may encounter troubles in locating zombies by voice, as the source positions of sounds are not accurate. Anyway, it’s not a problem as we have a map. Vehicle and destruction sounds (especially grenade) are awesome. The game lacks surround sound option too. Soliloquy of the fighter could have been better.
