Bloodborne is an action-adventure RPG developed by From Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It has been directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who is known for directing the Souls saga, both Dark Souls, Dark Souls II and Demon's Souls. It is exclusive to PlayStation 4, so you will not be able to play it on PC or other consoles such as Xbox or Wii.
After the huge success of the Souls saga, this Japanese studio brings you a new opportunity to show off your abilities and to drive yourself crazy. As Bloodborne shares elements of the Souls saga, of course, it is not an easy game to play. It has lots of similarities with that saga, but also lots of differences that make this RPG game outstanding and one of the most highly-anticipated releases for the PS4.
Graphically speaking, the game is more than amazing. The developers have known who to make the most of the PS4, and both the graphics aspect and the artistic aspect are marvellous. They display the city in which the story occurs as a Victorian-Gothic town full of details. The lights are perfectly created, and even the physics of the street objects are incredibly true-to-life. The sounds are also imperative in Bloodborne. It will serve to terrorize you and to cause you be in a state of constant tension.
I have bad news for you if you are a fan of the Souls saga; you will no longer have a shield. Miyazaki has decided that the player will not count on this advantage in this game and now, you will face your enemies with no armor nor any shield. Once you download this title, you will rely on a firearm and an edged weapon. As you cannot defend yourself, just attack, the life bar system has changed a bit. Now, if you are not able to dodge correctly, you will get a great amount of damage. However, just a part of the damage is real, the red part of the bar. There is another color in the bar, the yellow. The yellow displays the amount of life that you could recover if you hit your enemy just after you receive the damage.

Of course, the offensive has been highly improved since you will not have a defense. You will have up to three sets of movements for each weapon. These movements can be combined, and each weapon has two positions. You will be free to modify the position of your weapons during the combats. For instance, it is possible to hit the shield of your enemy with the short weapon, and when they are defenseless, change the position of the weapon, change it into a long one and perform a powerful attack.
The enemies you will face are very different and have almost nothing to do with humans. There are different classes of them, with the zombie-like villagers who carry sickles, torches, etc being the most common of creatures. However, they are not the only enemies; you will find two-headed giants with huge sticks, torsos that spit acid, and enormous dogs with no skin are some of the monsters you will have to fight in this RPG.
